Before you open a television

Flat-panel TVs contain mains-voltage circuits, and power-supply and plasma boards can hold a dangerous charge after the set is unplugged. The guides on Board Level explain how faults are usually traced; they are not a repair service, cannot see your set and cannot guarantee a result. Anyone who follows them does so at their own risk and should stop where a step calls for skills or tools they do not have. Board Level declines liability for injury, damage to equipment or the cost of parts bought on the strength of a guide.

Who publishes Board Level

Publisher: Board Level, an independent publication run by its own editorial team. It sells no parts and offers no repairs.

Server

The site is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd, 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus.

Manufacturer names and part numbers

Brands, model designations and board numbers are quoted solely so that readers can recognise the hardware in front of them. They belong to the manufacturers, none of which is connected with Board Level or has reviewed its guides. Service manuals and schematics are the manufacturers' property and are not reproduced here.

Text and images

Each guide is written for this site. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences or the public domain, with full attribution on the photo credits page.

Data about visitors

No cookies, no analytics, no advertising tags and no third-party fonts or scripts. The host's servers do keep standard technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
